Karen Tripp: Candida Recovery
Welcome!
(Updated August 17, 2008)
Dear Readers:
It was in 1995 that I made my
swift & complete recovery from candida.
By sharing my story with you, my hope is that if you "have tried
everything" to get rid of this nasty beast called candida albicans, then maybe
you will find something here that you have not considered.
My satisfaction in sharing my experience is that I have documented
the journey I went on to reach optimum health, because, one - maybe it will help
someone else, and two - it is a constant reminder that we are all responsible
for our own health, and we must pursue each avenue of possibility until we find
the route that ultimately leads us to optimum health, and three - there will
come a day when I shall forget the details, the effort, the commitment I made
back then, and how hard it really was, but worth it in the end.
I did find my road to good health, with the help of an American
naturopath, combined with my own passionate desire to be healthy again.
Having this website is not only a way to shout "I'm yeast-free!!!"
but more importantly to say, "Maybe my experience will help someone else."
Lastly, I want to comment on the negative criticisms and arguments
that this program is - and I quote - "tripe" and "bogus" or simply "can't be
done in 30 days". It never occurred to me that when I put my story
online, there would be those who would say, "it's not possible" or "she is
lying". Excuse me? I have no reason to make up a story about
recovering my health. I have better things to do.
There is no person who is foolish enough to expose
themselves to the world if they believed they would be condemned, ridiculed or
criticized for their efforts. Using a public forum to share such a private
and personal experience, in my opinion, could be seen as an unselfish,
vulnerable, heartfelt intention to help others. If that perception has
been lost because 1) the program did not work for you or 2) because you are
offended that after 12 1/2 years of dedicated years of answering thousands of
emails, I have decided to add links to Amazon (which generates a commission of
between $12 and $17 per month in the form of gift certificates), or charge $5
for an ebook printable summary (as opposed to publishing a book and making
millions), then I am sorry for you.
I do not profess any medical knowledge; my claim to fame is as a
recovered patient. My disclaimer says that if you do not see the same
naturopath in Idaho as I did, then please do not berate ME for your lack of
success. Most sufferers who try this program on their own do NOT have 100%
success - but almost all who go to see the naturopath in person DO have
complete recoveries. Why? Because the program is tailored to each
individual. It is not a one-size-fits-all program. While I may have
been allowed this food or that, does not mean that you will be allowed
the same foods.
The program I was on requires omitting ALL FORMS OF SUGAR,
including natural sugars, fruit sugars, honey, maple syrup, etc. Some of
you have written to tell me that your doctor allows various forms of natural
sugars on the program. That's fine. Try the program. If you recover,
that's great. But this program requires cutting it all out.
So my feeling is that if you're going to do this program, then do it
exclusively, i.e. don't do it 80% and also include fruit or honey, then write to
me after several weeks and tell me it's not working.
In conclusion, you may try this program on your own, keeping in
full mind that it requires a maximum of 50 gm of carbs per day, with supplements
at each meal and acidophilus. You may well have a complete recovery as I
did, but do not be surprised if a visit to the naturopath in Idaho determines
that what is missing from your recovery is a parathyroid supplement, or
chromium, or parotid support, or that you have a dairy allergy, or that you have
parasites or a toxic liver ... all of these things play a factor in whether you
can achieve optimum health or not. Please do not BLAME ME if you do not
have 100% success.
I am doing the very best I can to give something back to the world.
My intentions are sincere and I never expected to be criticized for "offering
unlicensed medical advice for a profit," as one person suggested. This
offends me to the core, and for this reason one day I will remove this site
completely. Life is too short for negatives, and all I ever wanted for you
was to help you achieve the same great health as I did.
Sincerely,
Karen

Many of you email me and ask if I am still on the diet, and the answer is
definitely no. I did the program for the summer of 1995 and
have never looked back. |
November 4, 2009
 After 14
years of having regained my health, I have gained some weight back because I
now eat breads, and sweets, and starchy foods.
I am not the same youthful shape I was when I was a tiny size 4, but I
had my 50th birthday this year and I am still feeling great. |
