My Bookshelf* Paid links Highlighted titles are books I have read. June 2020 - Yes, these are paid links by Amazon. However, as for making a profit, for three years I've received monthly notifications that read "your earnings including any credit balance from previous payment periods, did not meet the minimum advertising fee threshold for your payment period." Seriously, if it offends you that I might some day earn enough money to buy printer ink or some music, then do not click the links, and make your purchases however you normally do.
Below you will find these books and their titles, with subheadings if applicable, and my comments if any.
The Body Ecology Diet, by Donna Gates: Recovering Your Health & Rebuilding Your Immunity. This book is excellent reading. The diet is much more restrictive than the one I was on, and recommends certain foods that my program did not allow, but it's important reading nonetheless about how the body works when it has candida overgrowth. This book is somewhat controversial because it addresses candida from a completely different standpoint than my naturopath did, but I recommend it nonetheless. Donna Gates' program may well work for you, and if you're one of those people who has "tried everything", then this may help you.
I read this book back in the 1980s when I was desperately searching for a solution to my chronic vaginal yeast infections. Doctors didn't believe in systemic candida and would continually prescribe drugs and creams. It never helped.
The Carbohydrate Addict's Life Span Program, by Rachael Heller Personalized plan for becoming slim, fit, and healthy in your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond
The Carbohydrate Addict's Gram Counter, by Dr. Rachael F. Heller Many readers ask me where to find carb counters. If you need a book, this might be a good place to start: carbohydrate grams, fat grams, calories, including trigger foods and healthy heart foods.
The Carbohydrate Addict's Program For Success, by Dr. Rachael F. Heller A new diet for carbohydrate junkies offers readers help in sustaining weight loss, using an interactive format to introduce the program. Breaking the Vicious Cycle: Intestinal Health Through Diet, By Elaine Gloria Gottschall
The Carbohydrate Addict's Diet: The Lifelong solution to Yo Yo Dieting, by Dr. Rachael F. Heller
The China Study, by Dr. Colin Campbell by T. Colin Campbell, a most fascinating book on what the consumption of animal protein does to the human body. On thing for sure, after reading this, it will change how you see animal foods in your diet. This is a peer-reviewed study that spanned 20 years. I could not put this book down, and read it several times. I hope it will not be banned... I'm sure some organizations are not pleased about being mentioned in this book. And if you're a dairy lover, you may want to reconsider that when you read about the experiments they conducted with mice.
Your Body Doesn't Lie, by John Diamond, MD This book changed my life. Muscle testing is like unlocking an inner science. I wish more people would read this and learn to use it. I wish the medical profession would learn how to do it! We wouldn't have cases of "try this for two weeks, and come back, and if it doesn't work, we'll try something else." That would disappear because a doctor could test his/her patient with the product and see how the person reacts. Read about my experience with muscle testing.
Power vs. Force: Synopsis & Study Guide, by David Hawkins, MD
This book is about the art and application of Clinical Kinesiology, and serves as an introduction to the energetic system that links mind and body. It shows how the body can "talk", and therefore be used as a diagnostic tool to measure a wide variety of its own functions, and to determine which healing approach will best suit an individual. Clinical Kinesiology is the modality that allows us to interpret this new "body talk". This method of muscle testing "reads" the body's innate wisdom when "asked" a question, or presented with a stimulus, the muscles respond clearly, either strongly or weakly. This system, which expedites the application of acupuncture, also helps realign the body's energy imbalances. Far from being a scholarly or scientific text, Your Body Can Talk is written for the immediate use of the practioner or layperson.
Applied Kinesiology: Muscle Response in Diagnosis, Therapy and Preventive Medicine, By Tom Valentine
"I also want to suggest the addition of a book to your website. It is
called "Energy Medicine" and is by world renowned healer Donna Eden.
I am going to do a 2-year diploma in Applied ineseology starting next year, but
I will definitely be using this book as my foundation as I go down the
Kineseology path. Donna goes beyond Kineseology in the book and
looks at Chakras, the five rhythms, Celtic Weave, Triple Warmer and
Strange flows to give a complete picture of how to work with the body's energy systems to heal.
